Roger O’Sullivan founded Claddagh Construction in 1996 with the intent of combining European tradesmanship with Northwest building practices. Originally from County Kerry in southwest Ireland, Roger has extensive experience in the construction industry. He served a four year carpentry apprenticeship in Ireland, receiving both junior and senior trade certificates. Following relocation to Seattle in 1993, Roger worked for carpenters union 1797 and later with two local residential contractors. Having learned local practices and gaining an appreciation for northwest architecture, he went on to start his own company.

Claddagh Construction has completed a wide variety of projects in recent years. Working in close collaboration with Architects and homeowners, Claddagh Construction continues to provide a high level of craftsmanship from basement remodels to multi storey additions resulting in many satisfied customers.

Claddagh Construction respects customer wishes and shares in the goal of creating a dream home. All work sites are non smoking areas. The assigned project manager is always available to take questions and keeps homeowners apprised of status throughout the project.

Our Process
While Claddagh Construction is willing to engage customers at different project phases, we are typically brought in during the design phase to work with the architect. This allows for realistic costing scenarios during the design.

Claddagh Constructions office facilities include a conference room outfitted with finish detail samples for review and selection.

Project managers use scheduling software to build and track all project schedules. Budget and schedule information are communicated to homeowners on a biweekly basis. Project managers are available via cell phone and email to answer any questions.

During the construction project, in progress items such as wiring detail, structural specifications and plumbing are photographed and documented while exposed. At project completion the homeowner is presented with a CDROM containing this information for future reference.

Claddagh Construction is one of the few contractors in King County that have installed metal siding on residential projects.

Claddagh Construction works with environmentally friendly products such as Richlite, bamboo flooring and paperstone countertops.
